Yes. According to Health Canada, most disinfectants are effective against COVID-1. For best results, you must clean the surface first and then use a disinfectant with a DIN (Drug Identification Number). All Dustbane disinfectants have a DIN. Some also have data supporting effectiveness specifically against COVID-19. 

How to choose the right disinfectant

Disinfectant surface dwell time depends on how frequently the surface is touched. Based on our Enhanced Cleaning Practices guide:

• Low Risk: Clean on a regular schedule and as needed (e.g., after spills).
• Moderate Risk: Clean and disinfect at least once daily.
• High Risk: Clean and disinfect after each use or at least twice daily.

PPE is always recommended when handling chemical products. Always refer to the product label or Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for specific PPE requirements.

Don’t panic! Here’s how to get the coffee stains out:

• Blot the area with a clean white towel to absorb excess liquid.
• Rinse the towel with clean water.
• Spray diluted spotter on the stain (e.g. Dustbane’s Oxy D.S.T.)
• Gently agitate toward the center of the stain and let it dwell.
• Blot again to remove residue—do not rub!
• Rinse with clean water and blot to dry.

Disinfectants include an expiry date printed on the neck of the bottle (3 years from manufacturing).

Exposure to heat or water dilution may reduce effectiveness. To maximize shelf life, store products undiluted at room temperature in a dry area.

No. Our products are specially formulated to work best with cold or room temperature water. Using hot water may actually reduce the effectiveness of the cleaning solution. Always follow the dilution instructions on the label.

No. Stronger isn't always better. Each Dustbane product is tested with specific dilution rates for optimal results. Overdosing may lead to reduced cleaning performance, increased residue and higher costs per use. We recommend you to follow the label directions for the best outcome.
